RECEPTION HOURS:
Monday – Sunday – 1:00pm to 7:00pm

Public Holidays – Times can vary

Christmas Day, Boxing Day & New Year’s Day – CLOSED

CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT TIMES:
Guests may check-in from 1:00PM on the day of arrival. CHECK-OUT is 10:00AM on the day of departure. Early check-in and /or late check-out is by arrangement only and may incur and extra charge.

LATE ARRIVAL:
If you will be arriving after hours, we can arrange a lock-box for you. Please contact reception for instruction.

PAYMENT OF ACCOUNTS:
All accounts are payable upon ARRIVAL. We reserve the right to charge overdue/recovery fees on all accounts not paid by due date. CREDIT CARD details are required, whether you have pre-paid online or not.

CREDIT CARD DETAILS:
Credit card details are required to secure the bookings, for the security of any unpaid accounts, and for any unforeseen damages only. Please note that cards may be pre-authorized.

CREDIT CARD CHARGES:
Please note that credit card surcharges of 2.5% will apply when using your credit card to pay your account.

BEDDING CONFIGURATION: 
Please note the splitting of beds to twin share, and vice versa – single to king beds, there is a one off charge of $10.

SMOKING:
Our rooms are SMOKE FREE. Please smoke outside away from open windows, doors and other guests – ash trays are provided outside rooms. In the event of someone having smoked causing smoke or burn damage in a room, the guest is responsible for any costs incurred, we will engage a specialist cleaning company, and/or charge for any damage done by smoke burns. We reserve the right to charge such costs and any resulting loss of income to the registered guest.

BATHROOM HEATERS:
Bathroom heaters are NOT to be left on overnight. Guests are responsible for any call out fees for fire alarms. Note: a Call out fee for unnecessary fire alarms is approximately $1000NZ from New Zealand Fire Department.

COOKING:
For the comfort of other future guests no strong cooking odors such as curry or fish are allowed – Doors/windows to be open while cooking. Guest will incur any cost associated with extra cleaning from specialist cleaning companies.

VISITORS:
Visitors are permitted at management’s discretion. All visitors must be reported to reception. The registered guest is responsible for the behavior of all persons/visitors whilst on the property. All deliberate or reckless acts that result in damage to our property and costs associated with inappropriate behavior resulting in loss of income to the motel, will be charged to the registered guest. No parties are tolerated. All visitors are to vacate the motel complex by 900pm. Only number of people registered to stay are permitted in each room. Any visitors to a Motel Guest must park on the street. Parking at the Motel is for Guests only

PETS:
We have 2x Pet friendly one bedroom units and 1x Pet friendly studio. These are available by arrangement only. These can not be booked via any website, only directly by phone call, all website bookings with pets will be turned away.

Pets are not allowed on bedding of furniture and must have there own bedding or crate. No Motel bowls, plates etc. are to be used for feeding or watering pets. Pets are NOT to be left in the unit alone. Dogs must be taken for a walk for toileting, ask at reception for nearby areas. Noise and other pet disturbance is to be kept to a minimum. Pets must be on a lead when in carparking area. Management reserve the right to ask guests to remove their animals from the premises and no refunds will be provided in this instance.

Additional Fees

$10 per pet per night. $15 per duvet/blanket in the event this needs cleaned due to pet fur etc. $40 for carpets to be cleaned due to excess hair or other mess. Closure of Unit per night: Due to cleaning or maintenance if the room cannot be used the following night, the nightly rate and/or relocation of the following guest will be charged.

All above fees can be charge at discretion by Dunedin Palms Motel.

CHANGES TO RESERVATION:
Any change in reservation term will be treated as a new booking and additional charges may apply. Any extension to a booking is subject to availability of rooms. Earlier departure than the reserved date may not result in a refund unless the motel management approve and are able to re-let the booked accommodation.

EXTRA GUEST CHARGE:
After 2 persons (rack rate charge), extra guests are $25 per person per night – this includes ALL children.

GROUP QUOTES:
Please contact the Dunedin Palms Motel for group bookings and quotes. Some terms and conditions may vary for groups. All information and terms and conditions for group quotes are supplied at time of quote – terms are slightly different for group quotes.

CLEANING:
We endeavor to maintain a high standard in our motel. All rooms are fully cleaned upon the rooms being vacated. Rooms are serviced daily for guests staying more than one night unless you have requested no-service or have booked via our weekly rates. If you find something not up to standard, we would be most grateful if you would let reception know immediately. . A Service includes, doing dishes, emptying rubbish bins, making beds, replacing used Tea/Coffee supplies and vacuuming if required. Full Cleans including Vacuum and Sheet Change and Bathroom clean, are done weekly if your stay is of a period 7 days or longer. if a sheet change is requested more regularly an additional fee of $15 per sheet change/bed will be charged. 

LOST PROPERTY:
All items found will be kept for 1 month after departure, if you fail to have arranged pick up or a way for us to send your items back to you after one month the items will be discarded of or donated. Toiletry and Food items will be discarded after 24hours

PARKING: All rooms are allocated ONE free carpark, if you require more than one parking space you must advise us prior to check-in, an addition cost of $10 per day may be charged for the second park subject to availability, or if we are busy you may be asked for the additional vehicle to be parked on the  street. If you have an electric car that requires charging please advise us prior to arrival so that we can reserve a charging space for you. Vehicle charging is at a cost of $12 per night.
